Abstract
The issue of mental health is still considered a trivial matter for most Indonesian people, therefore it is necessary to carry out mental healing independently or self healing. Starting from the method of listening to music, especially the K-Pop genre, the fans are called K-Popers. K-Popers interpret Korean songs that can provide peace for their mental state. One of the music that can be listened to as selfhealing is the BTS album entitled "Love Yourself" which was released in 2017 and 2018 this album contains a message to self love. This study aims to determine the acceptance of the meaning of self healing for the song on this album to K-Popers. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive study with a reception analysis approach to encoding-decoding models by Stuart Hall. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with informants who are K-Pop fans (K-Popers) and had or were experiencing stress, documentation, and literature study. The results of this study indicate that K-Popers is in three positions including the dominant hegemonic position, the negotiation position, and the opposition position in the process of meaning and acceptance of self-healing in the album "Love Yourself" by BTS.
