Abstract
The wettability of porang farmers in Dagangan District, Madiun Regency, has resulted in porang farmers only being able to rely on primary commodity production so that the benefits received are relatively small. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the behavior of porang farmers in creating added value and assess the amount of added value in porang chip production. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Sampling uses a non-random technique, namely purposive sampling. The results of the SEM test on 32 respondents proved that predisposing factors did not have a significant effect on farmers' behavior in creating added value, while the other two factors, namely enabling factors and reinforcing factors, had a significant effect on farmers' behavior in creating added value. Value-added analysis using the Hayami method resulted in a conversion of 1.6 with a profit made from the production of porang chips of 52.67%. In improving strategic steps to create added value through inductive and deductive approaches with training, mentoring and motivational encouragement in the form of facilities andi nfrastructure. Indicators that are able to have a big impact on the behavior of farmers to create added value are community leaders who are considered capable of setting examples and tangible results.
