Abstract
Natural seawater has a high total Dissolved Solid (TDS) value range of 11,000-35,000 mg / L. PT PLTU Paiton using Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology obtained data from processed RO is only 30% into fresh water while the remaining 70% of waste water is thrown into the sea. SWRO is a unit that treats sea water. Based on this fact, in this study studied the method of adding chemical solutions NaOH and Na2CO3 which is expected to be developed into a suitable method for the treatment of seawater wastewater from the RO system, in terms of industrial scale and the type of pollutants contained in SWRO waste processing wastewater from the RO process into Salt. In the process of improve ng salt quality, SWRO waste was added With NaOH and Na2CO3 reagents with theoretical concentration variables; excess 5%; excess 10%; excess 15% and excess 20% and with stirring time about 15 until 60 minutes. The results of the analysis of AAS method obtained the best Mg and Ca levels of 0.0863 ppm and 0.0265 ppm. With the best NaCl content with a concentration of 94.85% on the addition of reagents excess concentration of 15% with a stirring time of 60 Minutes. This shows that the greater the concentration of reagents, the more impurities are bound so that the concentration of NaCl salt is better.
