Abstract
With the current general education for children with special needs, there are many obstacles that occur starting from supervision, the learning process and the delivery of student study results to parents. In this education, parents are still lacking in the process of handling or responding to their child's development, because many activities take up time to meet the needs of life and some are embarrassed to go to school because they feel they have children with special needs. To assist the school in overcoming these problems, a Web-Based Application for Counseling Children with Special Needs was made (Case Study: SMP Negeri 1 Prambon Sidoarjo). With this application, it aims to help the school provide information on the results of the learning process and student development to parents or guardians of students. The system is made in several stages, namely analyzing system requirements, analyzing user needs, designing interface designs, making applications and using mySql databases, implementation, and testing. With the application of counseling guidance for Children with Special Needs, it can make it easier for the school to convey all information related to school to parents or guardians of students. The application also makes it easier for parents to monitor their child's progress at school so they can monitor it anytime and anywhere without having to go to school, so it doesn't interfere with the learning process and take time.
