Abstract
This time the demand for chemicals in Indonesia has increases every year. Butyl Acetate is an important solvent in chemical industries such as textile industry, plasctics industry, and pharmaceutical industry. It's estimated that the need for butyl acetate increases every year, therefore the establishment of butyl acetate factory is necessary to meet domestic needs, reduce imports, employment, and encourage the development of other industries that use butyl acetate in the process. The butyl acetate factory is planned to have production capacity of sixty five thousand tons every year use the esterification process with butanol and sulfuric acid as raw materials.
