Abstract
Tulungagung Regency is one of the regencies that has potential for freshwater aquaculture, especially for consumption fish. However, recently there has been a phenomenon of habitual shift among gouramy farmers. Many gouramy farmers have switched their farming business to koi fish. This study aims to analyze differences in income and decision-making stages of farmers in switching gouramy farming to koi fish in Bendiljati Wetan Village, Sumbergempol District, Tulungagung Regency. Methods The determination of the sample in this study used purposive sampling. The sample used was gouramy fish farmers who turned their ponds into koi fish. The number of samples used as many as 30 people. The analysis used is income analysis and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that based on the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test that Asymp. Sig 0.000. This means that there is a significant difference in the average income from before and after switching from gouramy to koi fish. The difference in the average income of Rp. Rp. 744.416/month/100 m2 to Rp. 1.214.034/month/100 m2. So that the transition from gouramy farming to koi fish has a significant effect on the income of farmers in Bendiljati Wetan Village, Sumbergempol District, Tulungagung Regency.
