Abstract
Grand Heaven Sidoarjo is the largest funeral home in East Java which has 2 buildings, namely the Grand Heaven Main Building and the Grand Heaven Office Building. The author will make modifications by adding a cantilever to the Grand Heaven Main Building which functions as the office of the Grand Heaven itself, so that the Grand Heaven Office Building can be converted into a parking lot. The material used in this building structure is reinforced concrete and structural elements that will be modified using a composite column structure on the exterior column and steel cantilever. The purpose of this study is to determine the behavior of the building structure with the addition of a cantilever. This study will use the Capacity Spectrum Method (CSM) as a method of structural planning and then carry out non-linear pushover static analysis to determine the pattern of collapse and behavior of the building structure during an earthquake. The auxiliary program used is ETABS as a structural model. The results of this study have an Immediate Occupancy (IO) performance. The resulting structural components are able to achieve structural stability with the largest beam dimensions used measuring 350x650 mm, concrete columns of 700x700 mm, steel beams with a WF profile of 500.300.11.18 and a kingcross composite column with a profile of 600.300.12.20 with concrete dimensions of 700x700 mm. The beam-column connection on the cantilever has met the strong column-weak beam requirements by using the extended end-plate rigid type connection.
