Abstract
In this study, the authors used empirical juridical methods with data collection techniques, namely library research and interviews. From the results of this study it can be concluded that women as prisoners in the Detention Center have special rights that do not apply to male prisoners. These rights are breastfeeding, immunization for children, additional food for female and child prisoners, basic needs for children, special cells, children's facilities, and health services. The obstacles in fulfilling child custody rights for female prisoners are the lack of facilities and infrastructure in caring for children, children's basic needs that have not been met, the implementation of child immunization is still limited, doctors are not available in polyclinics, and lack of operational funds to meet the needs of female prisoners.
