Abstract
This study seeks to analyze, investigate, and understand the relationship between psychobiographical studies of a leader and his leadership character, so that it influences his decision-making abroad. A president's policies are often connected with personal perceptions, appear biased, and create controversy when they conflict with the interests of the wider community. In 2017, Donald Trump, the president of the United States at that time, issued a travel ban policy that targeted a number of countries, and the background was that immigrants had become a source of trouble in the United States. This study uses a literature study to analyze the character of President Donald Trump in influencing United States policy when issuing a Travel Ban policy against Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen in 2017. The results show that an investigation into the chronology of life, background social background, as well as psychological studies show that these policies are related to Trump's personal sentiments.
