Abstract

Skin mangosteens could produce the substance reduktor that was very good. Substances reduktor that was contained in skin mangosteens that is tannin, ascorbic acid, acid sorbat and bisulfit. To get tannin from the skin extract mangosteens were done ekastraksi by using alcohol solvent with the concentration 70% .Tujuan from this research was to know the influence of the extract of mangosteens skin and to know further the content from results of the skin extract of manggis. First step of Skin mangosteens dryed afterwards was destroyed and sifted in accordance with the measurement of the particle basicly the condition changed. Then respectively the measurement of the particle was weighed totalling 50 gram. Afterwards was followeded by the Ekstraksi Stage used alcohol solvent 70% in accordance with the condition changed and was stirred with the speed of the mixing of 100 rpm. Afterwards was heated in the temperature 700 C with the water heater as far as solvent yawned. Results of the extraction were refined, filtrate that was met afterwards was distilled. Results the level of tannin that was biggest was received from the measurement of the particle 50 mesh with the difficult comparison the material with the volume solven,1: 1.75 that is of 20.8 %. Whereas smallest results were received from the measurement of the particle 20 mesh and the difficult comparison the material with the volume of solvent 1: 1 that is of 14.56 %.Prosentage tannin will tend to descend in the condition for the difficult comparison the material: the volume of solvent above 1:1,75. Key word: skin mangosteens, tannin, alcohol 70% .
