Abstract

The composition of soil constituents greatly affects the growth of plants. The components of planting media that are good for plant growth consist of soil, organic matter, water and air. The main components of soil for optimal plant life consist of 50% pore space, 45% mineral material (anorganic) and 5% organic matter. This research was conducted in his own garden, in Boro Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java in March 2020 until June 2020. This study is a two-factor study compiled using a Complete RandomIzed Design (RAL) which is the first factor of airy capacity water and the second factor of organic matter, with the first treatment of sandy clay + Without BO (B1), Sandy Clay + Compost (B2) and Sandy Clay + Manure (B3), the second treatment of Water Field Capacity 100% (K1), Water Field Capacity 80% (K2) and Water Field Capacity 60% (K3). The results showed that the provision of some kinds of organic matter can increase c - organic in the treatment of B2 (Compost) by 2.24% and B3 (Cage) by 1.86 %, and n - the total treatment of B2 (Compost) by 0.42% and B3 (Goat manure) by 0.38% There is no significant difference in the treatment of Airy Capacity Water Keywords: Compost, Manure, Water Field Capacity
