Abstract
The Leko dance in Kukuh village, Kerambitan district, Tabanan regency - Bali, is one of endangered tradition art heritage, so it requires creative conservation efforts. This effort is an opportunity for Science of Visual Communication Design, because it emphasizes in problem solving that prioritizes the visual communication medium as an interaction element that is able to change the thinking process (state of mind) of the target audience. The extinction of a tradition art is considered to be due to the lack of interest of the younger generation to study and pursue it from an early age. Another factor is the level of popularity of the Leko dance which is considered to be decreasing because it is rarely performed. This condition is aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic, especially on the island of Bali, which prioritizes the tourism sector as a supporter of tradition arts and culture. Through qualitative analysis with an interaction design approach, it is understood that designing the 'Leko dance' mascot whose idea comes from the young generation of Kukuh village, results in a high sense of belonging, because of the interaction effect in a visual construction that involves emotional design. Designing the mascot of 'Leko Dance' will certainly be able to foster the enthusiasm in performing tradition art of the young generation of Kukuh village and it can be understood from an early age regarding the heritage of philosophical values contained in it.
