Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has paralysed various economic sectors, especially for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) industry. This is one of the decreasing factors in Indonesia's economic growth by 5.32% in the Q2 of 2020. As the step overcome, the President of Indonesia assisted by cross-ministerial cooperation carry out movements to increase the attractiveness and buying power of the local products. The campaign is the major theme prolongation of 75th Indonesian Independence Day termed as Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia and shortened as Gernas BBI. Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) provides BBI visual guideline for e-commerce in form of template visual communication to help increasing local products’ sales as the main purpose. The visual identity includes logo making, graphic devices, color palettes, and typography. It is regrettable that the implementation of Gernas BBI 2021 visual identity is adjusted to the visual key of each e-commerce. The designs made by the e-commerces are not in accordance with the provided guidelines by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
