Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact in many countries including Indonesia and no exception in Tuban, East Java. The impact also has an effect in the social and economy sector. The perceived socio-economic impact is increasing the number of unemployed in Tuban city because of the lack of job opportunity that the effect of COVID-19 pandemic. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of pottery Tuban experienced a decline in sales due to reduced consumer interest in the product. The decline in interest in pottery products is also due to the product being too monotonous. Therefore, it is necessary to develop more innovative pottery products and adapt to the trends, so as to increase the consumer interest in these pottery products. Moreover, in making products also collaborate with MSMEs, Mrs. Tumiati Tuban pottery and Mr. Solikin disabled painter, which aim to improve the economy and to provide jobs. The method used is the design thinking method. The authors use the design thinking method, where the design products are based on problem seeking and provide solutions according to these problems. The results of this study are plant pots and jewelry boxes that can be sold by MSMEs, Mrs. Tumiati Tuban pottery so that product can help the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
