Abstract
The Pekalen Watershed is one of the watersheds located in East Java. There is a mismatch of land use andThe lack of attention of various parties involved in the management of the Pekalen watershed towards several areas that have the potential for flood disasters has made this flood disaster to continue every rainy season. This research was carried out by analyzing geospatial to find out which areas have the potential for flooding and mapping these areas as information for the community and related parties for prevention, as a comparison library with subsequent research for further scientific development, as a basic reference for programs or policies. in planning, managing and controlling floods in the future. The method used in this research is a quantitative method by analyzing the effect of each flood parameter, namely slope, soil type, land cover and rainfall on the level of flood prone in the Pekalen watershed. The determination of flood-prone areas is carried out by analyzing the results of all the factors assessed for each land unit. The results of geospatial analysis showed that the Pekalen watershed has 5 (five) classifications of flood-prone areas, namely non-prone, less prone, moderately prone, prone and very prone. Of the total area of the Pekalen watershed covering an area of 16,549.00 Ha, the level of which is not prone to flooding is the largest area with an area of 9.660,.06 Ha (58,37%), while the less prone area is 2.884,94 Ha (17,43%), the level is very vulnerable. an area of 1.956,18 Ha (11,82%), the level of susceptibility was 1.709,00 Ha (10,33%), and the vulnerab le level was the area with the smallest area of 338,81 Ha (2,05%).
