Abstract

Sidorejo villages in Kabupaten Bojonegoro is known for its rice production, but it faces challenges with lower productivity compared to other areas and annual fluctuations. This study analyzes the impact of production factors on rice production, measures the technical efficiency of farmers in rice farming, and analyzes the influence of farmers' social factors on technical efficiency in Desa Sidorejo. Sampling is done using Simple Random Sampling. The analysis method involves the Stochastic Frontier Production Function using Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) with the Frontier 4.1 application. Results show that land area significantly and positively affects rice production, while fertilizers and labor have significant negative impacts. Seed shows a positive but insignificant influence, and pesticides exhibit a negative and non-significant effect. About 88% of rice farming in Desa Sidorejo is technically efficient, with an average technical efficiency of 0.825. The smallest technical efficiency is 0.572, and the highest is 0.994. In terms of social factors, age and experience have a significant effect on technical efficiency, while education and participation in counseling do not have a significant effect on technical efficiency.
