Abstract
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the main crop commodity in Indonesia today. Demand for rice continues to increase along with the current increase in population in Indonesia. Efforts to meet the need for rice seeds are carried out by introducing various new innovations. This research aims to determine the effect of providing paclobutrazol concentrations and appropriate planting models on the growth and yield of rice plants. The research was carried out from May to August 2023 in rice fields in Turipinggir Village, Megaluh District, Jombang Regency, East Java. This research uses a Split Plot Design (RPT) with 2 factors. The first factor, namely the concentration of paclobutrazol, consists of 4 levels and the second factor is 3 levels. Based on these two factors, 12 combination treatments were obtained and repeated 3 times so that there were 36 experimental units. The best results showed that the 600 ppm paclobutrazol concentration treatment showed the best results in the parameters of plant number, leaf chlorophyll, panicles per hill, grains per hill, grains per panicle and dry harvest weight per hill. The Jajar Legowo 4:1 planting model treatment showed the best results in the parameters of observing the number of panicles per clump, number of spikelets per clump, number of spikelets per panicle, but the tegel planting model was the best in the parameter of harvest dry weight per Ha.
