Abstract
Chrysanthemum are horticultural comodities that have considerable agribusiness prospects in Indonesia and have high economic value, so the availability to meet market demand must be maintained. Efforts to increase the production of Chrysanthemums namely by the identification of agricultural land from the highlands to the lowlands. The source of prospective mutant chrysanthemums is obtained from the varieties Pasopati and Naweswari. This study aims to determine the effect of gamma ray irradiation dose on Chrysanthemum varieties Pasopati and Naweswari as well as increase the genetic diversity of Chrysanthemum mutants. This research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory as well as the Indonesian Nuclear Energy Agency Jakarta in March 2020-August 2020. This study was compiled using a Complete RandomIzed Design (RAL) with two factors, namely the dose of gamma ray irradiation consisting of R0 = 0 gy, R1 = 10 Gy, R2 = 15 Gy, R3 = 20 Gy, R4 = 25 Gy and chrysanthemum varieties consisting of pasopati varieties and Naweswari. The results showed that the combination treatment between irradiation doses and varieties showed real interaction on the parameters of the time the buds appeared, the number of buds 12 MSI, the height of the planlet, the number of leaves 2 MSI, the length of the roots, the number of roots and interactions very real on the observation parameters of the number of buds 6 MSI, the number of leaves 6 MSI and the number of leaves 12 MSI with the best results on the irradiation treatment of 0 gy and 15 gy varieties pasopati.
