Abstract

Soil biodiversity is a form of alpha diversity that plays a major role in maintaining and improving the function of soil to support life in it. Watershed (DAS) is an ecological system or ecosystem in which living bodies with the physical and chemical environment interact dynamically. Soil macro fauna is part of soil biodiversity that plays an important role in improving the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. This study aims to determine the level of soil fauna macro biodiversity on the characteristics of various land uses. The research was conducted in two places, data collection was carried out in the Brantas Hulu Watershed area in Batu District, Batu City. The results of the observation of the soil macro fauna diversity index in non-productive land, rose land, celery land using the Shannon-Wiener method, namely non-productive land (1.24), rose land (0.89), and in celery land (0.90). ). Based on the ShannonWiener diversity index criteria, the diversity index on non-productive land, rose land, and celery land was in the low category.
