Abstract
Pabrik Aspirin dari Asam Salisilat, Asetat Anhidrat dan Kalsium Oksida dengan proses Sintesis Kalsium Oksida Kapasitas 70.000 Ton/Tahun akan didirikan di Kawasan Industri PT. Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (KIEC), Banten. Bahan baku yang digunakan untuk proses pembuatannya yaitu Asam Salisilat (C7H6O3), Asetat Anhidrat (C4H6O3) dan Kalsium Oksida (CaO). Proses produksi Aspirin terdiri atas empat tahapan proses. Pertama yaitu tahap persiapan bahan baku, dimana Asetat Anhidrat akan disamakan kondisi operasinya dengan reaktor. Tahap kedua proses Sintesis, yaitu ketiga bahan akan berkontak di dalam reaktor sehingga terjadi proses sintesis menghasilkan produk Aspirin dan Kalsium Asetat sebagai produk utama dan sedikit air. Tahap ketiga yaitu pengeringan, keluaran dari reaktor akan diumpankan menuju rotary dryer untuk dikeringkan. Tahap terakhir yaitu tahap pengepakan, dimana produk dari rotary dryer akan di seragamkan ukurannya menggunakan ball mill, kemudian produk ditampung di product bin sebelum dipasarkan.
