Abstract
Aluminum Sulfate Factory from Sulfuric Acid and Alumina Tryhydrate with the Giulini Process at a production capacity of 50,000 Tons/year. Aluminum Sulfates can be used by various industries as the main raw material or ingredient auxiliaries, such as the pulp or paper industry, textiles, as well as in the water purification process Can be used as water treatment and waste processing. This factory will operates 330 days a year. The process of making Aluminum Sulfate prepares Sulfuric raw materials Acid 98% and Alumina Tryhydrate 99.7%. Sulfuric acid is dissolved until concentration 51%. Two materials are fed into the reactor at 5 atm and a temperature of 160OC to form a concentrated aluminum sulfate solution by 42%. The aluminum sulfate solution was evaporated at a temperature of 115oC and produces a product with a concentration of 55%. Saturated aluminum sulfate can forms crystals at a temperature of 85oC with the chemical formula Al2(SO4)3.14H2O. Crystals and mother liquor are separated using a centrifuge, for mother liquor recycled in the evaporator while the wet crystals are dried in the rotary dryer with hot air and produces dry crystals which are cooled in cooling screw conveyor up to a temperature of 30oC. Crystals are uniform in size using ball mill measuring 100 mesh is accommodated in a holding silo for packaging and distributed. Provisions for the establishment of an Aluminum Sulphate factory that has been The plan is concluded as follows: • Production Capacity: 50,000 tons/year • Company Form: Limited Liability Company • Organizational Structure: Line and Staff • Factory Location: Ngoro Industrial Park, Mojokerto • Land area: 20,000 m2 • Operating System: Continuous • Operation Time: 330 days/year; 24 hours/day • Construction period: 2 years • Equipment age: 10 years • Fixed Capital Investment (FCI): Rp. 279.481.137.715 • Working Capital Investment (WCI): Rp. 93,941,239,250 • Total Capital Investment (TCI): Rp. 373.422.376.965 • Raw Material Costs (per Year): Rp. 229,446,784,512 • Utility Costs (per Year): Rp. 4,710,009,187 • Production Cost (TPC): Rp. 375,764,881,369 • Sales Proceeds: Rp. 897,800,000,000 • Bank Loan Interest: 8% • Rate on Investment (Before Tax): 50.05% • Rate on Investment (After Tax): 37.535% • Pay Back Period: 3 years 10 months • Internal Rate of Return: 13% • Break Even Point (BEP): 38.08%
