Abstract
Employees who have job engagement at work will show high motivation, and feel enthusiastic and satisfied with their work. The objective of this study is to find out the influence of (1) transformational leadership on job engagement, (2) skill utilization on job engagement, (3) transformational Leadership on job engagement through psychological empowerment, and (4) skill utilization upon job engagement through psychologycal empowerments. The population of this research is permanent employees of PT. Raharja Services East Java Main Branch as many as 142 people. The research sample was employees at job levels J, K and L with a total of 113 people, all of whom were used as samples in this research. The data used is primary data through distributing questionnaires to respondents. The analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The research results concluded that (1) transformational leadership has an effect on job engagement, (2) skill utilization has no effect on job engagement, (3) transformational leadership has no effect on job engagement through Psychological Empowerment, and (4) skill utilization has an effect on job engagement through Psychological Empowerment.
