Abstract
A country's exports and imports of goods are tracked in its trade balance. Given that China and America are both large commercial partners, a trade war between them would have a big impact on Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to look at the long- and short-term impacts of the trade conflict and the value of the Indonesian Rupiah in relation to the Chinese Yuan on the trade balance between China and Indonesia. The study uses a quantitative research approach, analyzing the short- and long-term effects of variables in a time series data framework using the E-Views application and the Error Correction Model (ECM). The results of the research indicate that the exchange rate of the Indonesian Rupiah against the US Dollar does have a significant impact on the Indonesia-China trade balance in either the short or long term. Similarly, the variable of the trade war also does exhibit significant effects on the Indonesia-China trade balance in the long term and short-term impact Keyword : International Trade, Balance of Trade, Trade War, Exchange Rate
