Abstract
Cardboard is one of the wastes which, if it is recycled, will reduce the quality of the cardboard. This causes cardboard to become a waste whose value will decrease if it has been recycled. Therefore, a research entitled "Effect Of Hydrogen Peroxide Concentration And Acid Catalyst On Production Of Glucose From Cardboard" was carried out. This study aims to find the optimum concentration of hydrogen peroxide and sulfuric acid in the manufacture of glucose from cardboard. How to make glucose with cardboard material, namely weighing 10 grams of 50 mesh cardboard powder, then delignifying with H2O2 with a concentration of 0%; 1%; 2%; 3%; 4% as much as 100ml. The mixture was then heated at 35oC with a stirring speed of 100 rpm for 60 minutes. The results of the stirring were filtered, then hydrolyzed by adding 1% sulfuric acid; 2%; 3%; 4%; 5%, as much as 100 ml for each specimen for 60 minutes at 120°C. The sample was cooled, then neutralized with 10% Na2CO3. Based on the results of the study, glucose levels were obtained at various ratios of 4% hydrogen peroxide and 4% sulfuric acid, 9.8% glucose levels were obtained
