Abstract
Eco-Briquette is a more effective alternative energy use and economic value. In this study, Eco-briquettes were made from charcoal plastic waste mixed with Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Polypropylene (PP) with the semi-batch carbonization method using several variables including the composition of raw materials, the speed of the screw conveyor and the type of adhesive. Variable the speed of the screw conveyor that is run in the carbonization process is 1 rpm, 2 rpm, and 3rpm. Plastic mix composition ratio (PET:PP) in molding process briquettes is (0:100); (25:75); (50:50); (75:25); and (100:0) uses type tapioca flour adhesive and arpus with a mass of 40 gr/sample. The purpose of This research is to make plastic waste briquettes mixed with Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Polypropylene (PP) with the semi-batch carbonization method using several variables including raw material composition, rate screw conveyor and type of adhesive, as well as knowing the effect on the analysis proximate done. The results of analysis of briquettes with the best quality are appropriate with SNI standards on briquettes with tapioca flour adhesive type, with variations material composition (25% PET : 75% PP) and variation of the speed of the screw conveyor 1 rpm (8 Hz) with the results of the analysis that the water content value is 5.04%, the ash content value is 10.87%, the volatile content 6.06%, fixed carbon value 78.03%, and heating value 7005.2473 cal/100g.
