Abstract
Edamame soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) is a type of legume that is included in the vegetable plant category. Edamame soybeans have wide export market opportunities, but the cultivation of Edamame soybeans in Indonesia is still relatively small, while the market demand is very large. The low yield of edamame soybeans is because the majority of soil in Indonesia has soil organic matter content that is still below standard. To increase the availability of C-organic elements in the soil and also to reduce the intensity of excessive use of inorganic fertilizers, organic fertilizer is added at the appropriate dosage. The application of organic matter can affect the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil. The use of organic fertilizers such as manure can increase the activity of microorganisms in the soil. The not yet optimal productivity of edamame soybeans is also due to the poor nutrient element nitrogen (N) in the soil which affects the productivity of edamame soybeans. Rhizobium inoculation is one way to increase the effectiveness of edamame soybean plants to meet the need for nitrogen elements. The research was conducted from July to September 2022 in Sukoanyar Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency. This study used a split plot design in RAK by placing organic fertilizer doses in the main plot which consisted of 3 levels, namely, P0: No manure, P1: 5 tons/ha of manure, P2: 10 tons/ha of manure. Rhizobium inoculums were placed as subplots consisting of 4 levels, namely, R0: Without Rhizobium Inoculum, R1: Rhizobium Inoculum 7gr/kg, R2: Rhizobium Inoculum 14gr/kg, R3: Rhizobium Inoculum 21gr/kg. From the two treatments, there were 12 treatment combinations repeated 3 times. The observed variables included: plant height, number of leaves, total plant weight, total plant weight per peak, number of pods per plant, pod weight per plant, pod weight per plot, and pod weight per hectare. Rhizobium R0 inoculum dose treatment (control) gave the best results on plant height and number of leaves. The Rhizobium inoculum treatment had a significant effect on the variable number of pods per plant, pod weight per plant, pod weight per plot, and pod weight per hectare, however, there was no significant difference between increasing doses of Rhizobium Key Word: Edamame Soybean, Rhizobium, Manure
