Abstract
The presence of social media provides many conveniences for its use. the diversity of existing social media makes, social media users able to choose social media that can meet their needs. The behaviour of social media users can differ depending on the social media. Reddit is a social media in the form of a forum which was blocked by the Indonesian government in 2015. This study aims to determine the behaviour of Reddit social media users in Indonesia, especially among members of the largest Indonesian community on Reddit, namely the r/Indonesia. This study uses the theory of social reality construction by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman, CMC theory and social presence theory. The method used is qualitative with netnograpy research techniques. Data was collected using in-depth interview techniques and participant observation. The informants in this study are Reddit social media users who are active members of the r/Indonesia community. The results obtained in this study are that there are three behaviors carried out by members of the r/Indonesia community, namely discussing, uploading posts, and silent reading or lurking.
