Abstract
Children's periods of life are among the most important in their growth and development. Growing children will be ideal if they receive good quality nutritional intake, considering that children aged 3-5 years old who have low levels of fruit and vegetables consumption tend to be low. An intake of sufficient nutrients is necessary for the development, health, and intelligence of the child. To ensure that children between 3 and 5 years of age are healthy and active, parents need to provide balanced nutrition. Therefore, it is vital that they know how to prepare healthy food. Nowadays instant food is more often prepared for children. This makes children more vulnerable to eating unhealthy foods that cause children to lack vitamins and minerals There are two stages of the method carried out, the preparation stage and the creation stage (Masnuna, 2020). Preparation stages include data collection, analysis, data synthesis and design object determination. Subsequently, the creation stage includes pre-production, post-production and post-production, obtained from the Design Thinking method. The concept of "Better Health Food Education Media" was developed as a result of the method described. With the keyword "Children's Health Education Media" can be used as a reference in making interactive books about the introduction of healthy food to children. Interactive book media is designed as a medium for parents to help introduce healthy food types, as well as an educational medium capable of stimulating 3-5 year-olds, with a method of playing while studying. With the use of this method, a design concept was established with the keyword "Better Health Food Education Media" which means a medium that educates healthy food in toddlers. It is a reference to visual, verbal and media concepts. With the creation of interactive book media, it is expected to become an educational learning medium in the introduction of healthy food types in children aged 3-5. In addition, it can also provide solutions and education to parents as an effort to introduce healthy food to children who tend to pickyeaters to ensure that 3-5 year olds are healthy and active.
