Abstract
The formation of farmer groups in an effort to handle agricultural development is expected to be able to carry out activities to increase farmers' knowledge so that farmers' production results increase. The purpose of this study was to determine the working mechanism of farmer groups in increasing production, analyzing the factors of the role of farmer groups that affect farmers' income, and knowing the constraints faced by farmers and farmer groups in cultivating star fruit tasikmadu. This research uses descriptive methods, Likert scale analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the work mechanism carried out by farmer groups in increasing production is starting from the selection of superior seeds, managing water needs, plant maintenance, and controlling pests and diseases, the factors of the role of farmer groups that significantly affect farmers' income are learning classes and vehicles for cooperation, while the constraints faced in farming start from attacks of plant disrupting organisms, weather changes, conversion of agricultural land, and rising prices of production facilities.
