Abstract
This researchs aims to explain and describe the role of Food Agriculture Organization ini overcoming the food crisis in Bangladesh 2007-2012. As an international organization which focused in food crisis dan agrikulture issue, FAO involved in dealing with food crisis in Bangladesh that caused by several causes include natural disaster and food prices inflation. The researcher used the role of international organization theory, food security concept, and humanitarian assistance theory, to explain what roles can be carried out by an international organization, what an effective roles to achieve a food security condition, and to explain humanitarian assistance as one of the right step to helpalleviate a particular problem. FAO has two roles, roles as a facilitator and initiator, it means FAO use to give any facilities that needd and initiating various collaboration with several actors, such as other countries and humanitarian organizations. Two roles that carries by FAO can be done well, then caused the condition of the food crisis in Bangladesh gradually improved.
