Abstract

Upcycling is a method of processing materials by utilizing waste or waste into new materials that can be used as renewable products. upcycling focuses on exploring used wood and tin cans. Indonesia produces 67.8 million tons of waste per year, even though waste processing has been carried out with 10 tons per day, there is still a lot of waste that is not processed. The large amount of household waste and others without a process of selecting and sorting waste according to category causes the waste to only be piled up hilly in the FDS (Final Disposal Site). The results of research and development upcycling used wood and used cans can be maximized into renewable materials, and become products with the concept of eco-design and sustainable design. the right approach and exploration will make good materials and products. The results of this experiment will be applied to Smart Wall Light products by combining several new materials and upcycling materials, and it is hoped that the exploration of these materials can make other materials alternative, and can become a new trend by upcycling waste materials. During a pandemic like this it can be new and support WFH (Work From Home) and SFH (Study From Home). Keywords : Upcycling, Waste, Smart Wall Light
