Abstract
The challenge of realizing community-based sustainable tourism is that it requires community empowerment that is truly carried out by, from and for the community. This study was aimed to determine the process of community empowerment through the management of Jambu Tourism Village, Kayenkidul District, Kediri Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the community empowerment process in Jambu Tourism Village had three stages, namely from the awareness stage through the socialization process; the capacity building stage consists of providing guidance and training, forming an organization by creating BUMDes Jaya Makmur, and preparing descriptions and responsibilities of BUMDes Jaya Makmur management; the empowerment stage consists of establishing the Jambu Tourism Village.
