Abstract
Indonesia is a diverse country. Indonesia’s plurality can be seen in many religions, cultures, languages, and community groups' purpose and ways of life. This plurality has the potential for social conflict to emerge. Thus, there is a need to give multicultural education to children. Multicultural education aims to develop human attitudes and knowledge in respecting existing differences and diversity. This research focuses on implementing multicultural education for children through formal, non-formal, and informal channels. This study aims to determine the various approaches and methods that can be used as an alternative to delivering children's multicultural education using a literature review approach. In formal education, curriculum reform and school management are the main points that support multicultural education in schools. The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) approach can be used as a nonformal multicultural education method. Meanwhile, in the informal channel, multicultural education is delivered by parents, family, and the surrounding environment, for example, by media such as films. However, according to the author, a method and approach that is specific to an educational type has the potential to be used in another educational type. Keywords: education, multicultural, children
