Abstract

Indonesia is an agrarian country because most of the population works in the agricultural sector. PT Perkebunan Nusantara X or PTPN X is an agribusiness company that focuses on sugar production. In this report, we will discuss the production system and analysis of machine effectiveness using the Overall Equipments Effectiveness (OEE) method at PG Pesantren Baru. From these problems we can find out how the sugar production process and the effectiveness of the machine at the new Islamic boarding school sugar factory located in Kediri, East Java. The production system used at PG Pesantren Baru refers to Make To Stock where the stock of product inventory does not depend on consumer or customer demand. And the average OEE result in the last three years is 66.73%. Meanwhile, world-class OEE best practice is 85%. This value is still far below the world's best practice.
