Abstract
Nowadays, the development of the creative economy industry sector in Sidoarjo is starting to grow rapidly. There are 16 sectors of the creative economy industry in Sidoarjo that have started to emerge. Of the 16 sectors, it can be categorized into leading, potential, prospective and so on. However, the creative economy industry sectors in Sidoarjo still have not received special attention from the Sidoarjo Regency Government, considering that the creative economy industry sector is also one of the supporters of economic sustainability in Sidoarjo. Leading sectors, such as fashion, interior design, product design, fine arts, as well as television and radio, are still lacking in appreciation from the government and the people of Sidoarjo themselves. This lack of special attention also includes the absence of a special platform to channel ideas and capabilities of each sector. Thus, the presence of Sidoarjo Creative Corner is a solution and is expected to provide a forum for the creative economy industry sector, especially those that are superior in Sidoarjo. In addition, so that the design of this building can survive and provide benefits, both in terms of economy, social and the surrounding environment, the approach and design method used is sustainable architecture. In achieving these principles, the design strategies applied are materials, energy, water conservation, and design for human comfort. So that the design application that is applied does not only pay attention to the comfort of the user in it, but also pays attention to the impact on the surrounding environment.
