Abstract

Sanankerto Tourism Village is a tourist village that holds amazing tourism potential in the form of the charm of forest vegetation with 115 exotic bamboos in it and has been recognized nationally. The tourism potential and beautiful local cultural wisdom in this village are still not realized by most people in Malang Regency and its surroundings. Visual identity that has not been designed optimally is also one of the factors in the low public awareness of the existence of this tour. Based on the problems encountered by the author, the author made a design that raised the title "Design for the Rebranding of Sanankerto Tourism Village, Malang Regency as an Increas in Brand Awareness". This design aims as a rebranding effort through visual identity to make it easier for tourists to recognize and remember this tourist village well. The authors used three methods in this study. The research methods used are questionnaires, interviews, and observations. This method is used to collect the data needed in this design. After obtaining the necessary data, the research results will be analyzed using descriptive analysis methods and TOWS. Descriptive analysis is used to explain the key points found. The key points that have been found are then reprocessed using the TOWS method to analyze the threats, opportunities, weaknesses, and strengths of this tourist village. After the analysis process is complete, the data will go through the brainstorming stage by generating the keyword "The Charm of Sanankerto Village Gems". Visual identity designed in the form of logos and supergraphics. The visual identity designed contains various potentials of the exotic Sanankerto Tourism Village. Taglines use Indonesian to make them easy to understand and remember by the target audience. This design is expected to increase public awareness of Sanankerto Tourism Village. Keywords: Sanankerto Tourism Village, Brand Awareness, Rebranding, Visual identity
