Abstract
This study examines the influence of financial literacy, financial attitudes, and self-control on saving behavior among Generation Z e-wallet users. The research approach used a quantitative method with a population of Generation Z in Surabaya City who were born between 1997-2012 and actively used e-wallets in the past year. The research sample consisted of 89 respondents obtained through simple random sampling and collected using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS)-based structural equation modeling through SmartPLS software. The results showed that financial attitudes had a positive and significant effect on saving behavior, confirming that positive thinking, future orientation, and discipline in managing finances were important psychological factors that encouraged saving habits in the digital era. Conversely, financial literacy and self-control did not have a significant effect, indicating that financial knowledge and the ability to resist emotional impulses are not sufficient to shape actual saving behavior amid the fast-paced dynamics of digital finance. These findings emphasize the need to strengthen healthy financial attitudes in order to encourage more consistent saving behavior among the younger generation.
