      "abstract": "This study aims to examine domestic tourists' perceptions of Ludruk\r\nperformances as a local cultural tourism attraction in Surabaya, the factors\r\ninfluencing their interest in watching Ludruk, and its potential development as a\r\ncultural tourism attraction. This research employed a descriptive qualitative\r\nmethod using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection\r\ntechniques. The informants consisted of ten domestic tourists, including those who\r\nhad watched Ludruk performances live at UPT. Taman Budaya Jawa Timur. Data\r\nwere analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion\r\ndrawing.\r\nThe findings indicate that domestic tourists generally have positive\r\nperceptions of Ludruk performances. The main attractions of Ludruk include its\r\nhumor, Remo dance, storylines related to everyday life, musical accompaniment,\r\nlanguage use, and moral messages conveyed in the performance. Tourists' interest\r\nin watching Ludruk is influenced by promotion and information dissemination,\r\nsocial media, language use, interest in local culture, innovation in performance\r\npresentation, and the availability of clear performance schedules. Furthermore,\r\nLudruk still has strong potential to be developed as a local cultural tourism\r\nattraction in Surabaya.
