Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed human life habits. One of them is the increasing trend of virtual events to reduce community mobilization. This new habit opens up opportunities to explore the use of Virtual Reality (VR)-based technology in everyday life. In the world of television, the use of virtual set has been widely used since 2009. The rise of virtual activities during the pandemic has made virtual set widely implemented in virtual activities outside the television world. Virtual set can create imaginative spaces and give a real impression in virtual activities. This research objectives are to find out how the virtual set implementation process creates an immersive room in a virtual live event. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach to virtual live events in Surabaya. The results of this study are exposure to the production process and properties used in a virtual live event, as well as how virtual set can change the human perspective.
