Metaverse is a modern three-dimensional space technology that combines the world of reality and the sophisticated digital world. Metaverse is a virtual space where people from all over the world can meet, communicate and interact with each other using VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) technology. The discussion in this research study covers the challenges and impacts of the Metaverse in the world of education. The research method used is a study of the literature by collecting many sources from scientific journals that are ordered according to the topics covered. Data collection includes international journals, national journals, proceedings around 2021-2022. The research design will use the narrative review. Today, the Metaverse is the talk of the town. The covid pandemic has accelerated the transfer of educational activities that have been carried out in face-to-face classes to online classes. However, another problem arises that there are difficulties and adaptation of students in online learning. It is believed that the Metaverse can overcome the limitations that arise in online learning, especially for both theoretical and practical lessons, even with good and bad impacts. With technology that continues to develop rapidly, the Metaverse can do many things in the field of education. Students will gain new experiences in the teaching and learning process with Metaverse technology in the future. Sooner or later, the Metaverse will be widely used in various areas of life in various parts of the world. Keywords: Metaverse, education, experience, challenge
