Abstract
Avocado (Persea americana) is a fruit crop that is nutritious, high commercial value and has the potential to be widely cultivated. The combination treatment between shoot growth stages and the method of connecting shoots is an effort to increase the percentage of finished graft seedlings, increase the vigor of grafting seedlings, and accelerate the growth of grafting seedlings that are ready for planting in the field. This experiment is a factorial experiment consisting of 2 factors with an environmental design is Complete Randomized Design (RAL) which was repeated 4 times. The first factor is the treatment of stadia growing entres (flushing, endodormancy, and ecodormancy) and the second factor is the shoot grafting method (cleft graft, wedge graft, and splice graft). The results showed that there were real interactions in all observed changers of observations. Treatment combination of stadia ecodormancy in splice graft (S3M3) resulted in the best connection avocado seed growth and differed markedly compared to other treatments because it resulted in an increase in the percentage of finished graft by 42.50%, interval of flushing by 4.91 days, and increased frequency of flushing by 1.83 times an increase in the number of aged leaves by 63%, and increase in the shoot length by 76% when compared to combination treatment of stadia flushing in cleft graft (S1M1). The combination treatment of stadia ecodormancy in splice graft (S3M3) resulted of vascular tissue grafting (xylem and phloem) between scion and rootstock recovering faster and better in graft structure than other treatments.
