Abstract
In 2020 the government issued a program to overcome the problem of food insecurity, namely by diversifying food. Food diversification is carried out by utilizing existing food commodities, one of which is sorghum. In Indonesia, sorghum is the third food cereal crop after rice and corn. Although the potential of sorghum in Indonesia is quite large with a variety of varieties, both local and introduced, its development is not easy because of the lack of interest from farmers. The development of sorghum continues to decline for several reasons, therefore this study aims to determine what factors influence farmers' interest in sorghum farming. This study was analyzed by logistic regression which in this study requires 45 samples of sorghum farmers. This research was conducted in the district of Babat Lamongan. The results of this study can show that the interest of farmers is relatively low, and there are several factors that influence including the income variable has a positive effect, the price variable has a positive effect, and the government assistance variable has a positive effect.
