Abstract
The Fine Art Gallery in Surabaya is one of the art infrastructures, as well as being a tourist attraction and as a forum for growing and developing the field of art. However, even though art galleries are included as tourist objects that are also places for commercial activities, fine art galleries in Surabaya are still considered to be less supportive of the commercial culture industry. Whereas in Surabaya itself has the potential to develop the distribution and reception area of contemporary art in Indonesia. So that the need for facilities and infrastructure in the form of an art gallery that includes a place to hold exhibitions, as well as market works of art. The Contemporary Architectural Approach used in the design of this gallery aims to create a harmonious relationship between the building and the surrounding environment, and can bring up newer spatial compositions and building facade shapes. Therefore, it is hoped that the overall building design can attract public interest, become a place for appreciation of works of art in Surabaya, as well as a place to develop the fine arts and cultural industry in Surabaya.
