Abstract
Purebred chicken eggs and free-range chicken eggs are one of the foods that are much favored by the community because of the many benefits and advantages that can be obtained from consuming chicken eggs. The consumer's view of chicken eggs can influence consumers in the purchase and consumption of chicken eggs. The study's goal is to shed light on the factors that influence consumers' decisions between purebred chicken eggs and free-range chicken eggs, such as household income, egg price, eating habits, and personal preferences. The Surabaya market of Benowo was chosen specifically for this study. The study used a multiple linear regression test methodology. The study's findings show that consumers' decisions to buy and eat either purebred chicken eggs or village chicken eggs are influenced by a variety of factors, including household income, the price of broiler/village chicken eggs, egg consumption habits, family dependents, and personal preferences. An individual's propensity to purchase and eat broiler eggs is positively and significantly influenced by their disposable income, the price of broiler eggs, and the number of others who depend on them in the household. Consumers' propensity to purchase and eat free-range chicken eggs is positively and significantly influenced by factors like income, consumption patterns, and personal preferences.
