Abstract

Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) is an alternative fertilizer that can be used to minimize the impact of using chemical fertilizers. POC forming materials can come from organic waste in the form of banana peels, coconut water, and fish offal. The waste contains nutrients, especially N, P, and K which are useful for cayenne pepper plants. This study aims to determine the combination of LOF and concentration that produces the best interaction. This research was conducted from January to April 2022, which took place in Besongol Hamlet, Pandaan District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The experimental design used was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with nine treatment combinations, which was repeated three times. The treatments consisted of first factor, LOF banana peel, banana peel plus, and fish offal, then second factor, concentrations of 40%, 50%, and 60%. The results showed that the best plant height and number of leaves was found in the LOF treatment of fish offal with a concentration of 40% and not different from that of LOF banana peels and banana peels plus a concentration of 50% (76.67, 76.50, 75.00 cm and 94.33, 93.39, 90.89 leaves). The best flower emergence age was in the banana peel POC plus 50% concentration and not different from the 50% banana peel POC treatment (36.56 and 37.17 days), while in the number of flowers, total fruit number, number of fruits in period 3, total fruit weight, and the best fruit weight in period 3 was in the banana peel LOF treatment plus a concentration of 50% (278 flowers, 57.22 pieces, 17.78 pieces, 170 grams, and 53.33 grams).
