Abstract

Dividend policy is a way to decide how much the money or profit generated will be paid to shareholders in part return or profit and how much will be kept as income backup. This study aims to analyze, find out, test, and empirically prove 1) the effect of Liquidity on Profitability, 2) the effect of Leverage on Profitability, 3) the effect of Liquidity on Dividend Policy, 4) The Effect of Leverage on Dividend Policy, 5) the effect of Profitability on Dividend Policy, and 6) the effect of Liquidity and Leverage on Dividend Policy with Profitability as a variable intervention. The population in this study are manufacturing companies in the industrial sector goods and consumption listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2017 – 2020 totaling 64 companies. The sample selection method used namely the purposive sampling method, in order to obtain a sample of 20 companies. The data analysis method used is path analysis (Path Analysis) and with the help of the Sobel Test or Effect Detection Test Mediation (Intervening). The results of the study show that (1) Liquidity has an influence positive and significant profitability, (2) Leverage has an effect positive and significant to profitability, (3) Liquidity has no effect on Dividend Policy, and (4) Leverage has no effect on Policy Dividends, (5) Profitability has a positive and significant effect on Dividend Policy, (6) Profitability is able to mediate the influence of Liquidity and Leverage on Dividend Policy
