Abstract
This study aims to determine the water needs of soybean on agricultural land using Cropwat 8.0, analyze the depletion of soil moisture reserves utilized by soybean plants from the planting to harvest stage with the Cropwat 8.0 program, to determine the analysis of the relative production of soybean plants with Cropwat 8.0, and calculate long time soybean plant water reserves. There are several things that can be explained by CROPWAT, including calculation of reference evapotranspiration (ET0), processing of rainfall data to find effective rainfall, cropping patterns, and irrigation design. This research was conducted in February to April 2019, in the experimental garden of the Secondary Crop Seed Development UPT, Malang. The results show that rainwater is sufficient to meet the water needs of soybean plants, because the rain deficit is lower than the rain and it has been explained that the net irrigation in the initial planting to harvest does not require additional water or irrigation. Water requirements from req.irr amounted to 0 mm / dec where the water demand was produced from Etc / decade which is the highest 38 mm to the smallest 11.2 mm but can be overcome by rain water obtained on the land. The results of calculations on the Cropwat 8.0 application do not require the addition of irrigation because of the amount of irrigation needed from the 0mm cropwat calculation.
