Abstract
A company was founded with certain ambitions and goals. Broadly speaking, the purpose of establishing a company is divided into two, namely the short-term with the aim of generating maximum profits and the long-term goal is to increase the value of the company. Profit is important for companies because profits are used in maintaining business continuity, company development and evidence that companies can win the competition and achieve success. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of liquidity, leverage and activity on profit growth and see whether firm size can moderate the effect of liquidity, leverage and activity on profit growth. This study took the object of the mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period, found 45 companies and obtained a research sample of 30 companies using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. Then for testing the moderating variable using the moderating residual test method. Results Based on the research shows that Leverage has a negative effect on profit growth and activity has a positive effect on profit growth. While Liquidity has no effect on profit growth. In addition, firm size cannot moderate the effect of liquidity, leverage and activity on profit growth. Keywords: Activity, Leverage, Liquidity, Profit Growth, Firm Size
