Abstract
This study aims to know and explain The Strategy of the Manpower and Transmigration Office of the East Java Provincial Government in Reducing the Unemployment Rate in East Java. This study used qualitative descriptive research methods, using responses through interviews, observations, on respondents at the Manpower and Transmigration Office of East Java Province. The focus of this research is based on the study of the Strategic Plan of the Manpower and Transmigration Office of East Java Province in 2019-2022 in this case there are 5 study targets, namely: 1) Training ( Development of Facilities and Infrastructure, Improvement of Jumlah and Kualitas Instruktur Secara Bertahap), 2) Work Productivity (Optimization of Quality, Improvement of Human Resources through Apprenticeships), 3) Expansion of Job Opportunities (Introduction and Training of TTG, Development of Entrepreneurial Training), 4) Placement of Manpower (Providing access to job seekers, Development of job fair services network development). Based on the results of the study, the Strategy of the East Java Provincial Manpower Office in reducing the unemployment rate in East Java Province using the 2019-2024 Strategic Plan can be said to be quite well implemented because it is able to reduce the level of unemployment in East Java . The responsiveness of the strategy of the East Java Provincial Manpower Office in reducing the unemployment rate received a positive response from the community because with the strategy that was implemented, it provided additional soft skills to be able to compete in the world of work, bridge job seekers to get jobs and help new rulers to develop their businesses. The strategy carried out is also designed to follow the development of the industry so that the strategy carried out is right on target. The accuracy of the strategy in reducing the unemployment rate is appropriate because it is related to the right target, the timing of the strategy implementation and the strategy objectives.
