Abstract

Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) service has grown in Indonesia since 2016, which is based on reports from research companies Media Partner Asia, the number of users subscribed to this service increased from 3.4 million to 7 million until January 7, 2021. The SVOD service provides easy access to media such as movies and TV shows, where this is expected able to reduce the level of piracy that can harm the company. But with digitization it also makes it easier for hijackers digitally. This study aims to determine the factors that influence motivation to subscribe to the SVOD service in Indonesia, namely Netflix. In this study, the Unified Theory Of Acceptance And method was used Use Of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) whose model has been modified, where The study analyzed the variables of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition, hedonic motivation, price value, habit, and content avalability, behavioral intention, and actual usage with variable moderator age, gender, and experience. Variable analysis was carried out with SmartPLS software, where the analysis consists of outer model test, inner model test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the variables that affect motivation subscribing to the SVOD service is a variable behavioral intention, habit, social influence, performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, price value, and content availability, along with experience moderator variables.
